Depok, July 24, 2024 – Two policy and economic analysts from Pratama Institute for Fiscal Policy and Governance Studies, Ismail Khozen and Gustofan Mahmud, participated in an international conference hosted by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia. The event, titled “4th International Conference on Administrative Science, Policy, and Governance Studies (ICAS-PGS) and the 5th International Conference on Business Administration and Policy (ICBAP) 2024,” took place on July 24, 2024, featuring prominent academics and practitioners from various countries.
The conference began at 9 AM with a plenary session featuring two keynote speakers. The first speaker, Prof. Ayano Hirose Nishihara, Dean and Associate Professor at the College of Business, Rikkyo University Japan, presented on “Innovation in Organization and Knowledge Management in Japan.” Prof. Nishihara emphasized the importance of adaptability in an era dominated by artificial intelligence (AI), highlighting the critical collaboration between AI and human resources (HR).
The second keynote speaker, Andrew A. Wiranata, Chief Strategy Officer of PT Blue Bird Tbk, delivered a presentation titled “Innovation in PT Bluebird.” Andrew A. Wiranata discussed various innovations implemented by PT Blue Bird Tbk to address the challenges in the transportation industry in the digital era. He also underscored the importance of adaptation and transformation in maintaining business sustainability amidst increasing competition.
Following the plenary session, researchers who had submitted their academic articles presented their work. Among them were Ismail Khozen and Gustofan Mahmud from Pratama Institute for Fiscal Policy and Governance Studies. Ismail Khozen presented his research on the impact of tax policy on economic growth in Indonesia, while Gustofan Mahmud showcased his work titled “Unlocking Success: How e-Filing Empowers MSMEs to Boost Tax Compliance and Business Performance.” This paper was a collaborative work between Prianto Budi Saptono and Gustofan Mahmud.
Both presentations were warmly received and appreciated by the conference participants. Ismail and Gustofan successfully demonstrated the quality of their research, which is not only theoretically relevant but also practically applicable. Their involvement in the conference underscores Pratama Institute for Fiscal Policy and Governance Studies’ commitment to supporting the development of knowledge and policy based on in-depth research.
The “4th ICAS-PGS and 5th ICBAP 2024” conference served as a platform for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as a professional networking opportunity for the participants.
